This 8 function, adjustable rise, and fall hospital bed include a soft-form, pressure-reducing Pentaflex mattress. The hydraulic jack enables the bed to be positioned at different heights. The mattress platform also allows for Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg tilt (tilted head down and/or foot down). The light oak laminate head and foot ends are fire retardant and easy to remove. The bed has an integral backrest that is gas-spring assisted. This feature gives the carer assistance when raising the backrest for a patient. For maximum safety, the bed incorporates four braking castors, and the central braking system can be operated from both sides of the bed at the foot end. In order to cater to taller patients, the bed has an extension facility which increases its length.
